Winton Triangle Exhibit at New Ahoskie

The Church is Featured in the Exhibit.

Because it was the center of Civil Rights rallies in the 1960s, the New Ahoskie Baptist Church is included in the exhibit, "Building a Mixed Race Community - People, Buildings and Sites of the Winton Triangle". The church's congregation, in step with innumerable others across the nation, strove for equal rights and opportunities, much of which was realized.

New Ahoskie now is graciously hosting the exhibit on November 12 at 12:30pm to 2:30pm at its chapel at 401 West Hayes Street, Ahoskie, NC. In 2021, a North Carolina Civil Rights Trails marker was installed at New Ahoskie in honor of the church's activism. The Chowan Discovery Group was the marker's nominator.
